A BEAUTIFUL DREAM
Last night as I lay sleeping
I dreamed a dream so fair
I dreamed I saw a Sunday School
With all the members there
They all had invited neighbors
Brought Bibles, offering, too.
They all attended preaching
As Christians ought to do.
And when the preacher prayed for them
And read the scriptures there.
They felt the presence of the Lord
and joined in silent prayer.
Then as the choir and leader gave
the best they had in song.
A guilty feeling filled my soul
For now my dream was gone.
I asked the Lord to help me
And then I prayed for you
That we can and will do our best
To make that dream come true.
