Our kind of church used to be very common, but since we are living in the last days prior to the coming of Jesus Christ to rapture believers out of this world, there has been a falling away of churches from a strict adherence to the teaching of the Bible. Instead the mode of services are designed to entertain rather than to edify the people with God's inspired word. Church is to reach the unsaved, and to inspire, instruct and to enlighten believers. It is God's house, and not meant to be a fun house.

We think you will find our site interesting if you are in search of the sensible not the sensational. One look is worth a 1,000 words.

Our church has been in continuous operation since 1952. We are a Landmark Baptist church preaching without apology the doctrines of grace.

Pastor Thomas is a graduate of and has served as a professor at the Lexington Baptist College.

Pleasant Ridge has been serving the spiritual needs of all who attend for 57 years. There have been only two pastors during this time. Pastor Thomas will celebrate his 52th anniversary here December 15, 2009.
